Caracas

Thursday Amanda and I woke to the sound of waves lapping the Caracas shore. We stayed in a room overlooking the ocean at the Posada Tanausul. It is a modest place with expensive food ($40 each!), so we went to the safest restaurant in town: Chang's. As we walked to the restaurant we were warned by three separate policemen/women to take great care. Fantastic.
The fried rice with shrimp was delicious and helped to counterbalance the distaste of being propositioned and groped by several female prostitutes. We woke up and exercised for 25 minutes before running some errands and heading to the airport to catch a flight to Los Roques – practically paradise on Earth.
